Education Center Safety Practices & Procedures
Saint Elizabeth Parish is committed to fostering a safe, secure and supportive environment. Our work to strengthen the safety and security measures in all parish facilities is ongoing. Below is a list of our current safety practices and procedures for the Education Center:
Secured Education Center Building
o Swipe card access for staff – new electronic key system installed
o Secure vestibules in education center entrances
o Advanced notification to education center office staff of expected visitors
o Daily facility door checks by staff
Emergency Drills
o Evacuation, secure building, severe weather, fire, and announced/unannounced lockdown drills for parish school and EFF programs
24/7 Emergency responder access to all parish facilities
Ongoing improvements to cellular and Wi-Fi signals within the education center
Safe Environment procedures
o Federal and PA State background checks for all parish staff, school staff, volunteers and contracted workers who have contact with children
o Safe environment/mandated reporter training for all parish staff, school staff and volunteers who have contact with children
Automated external defibrillators (AEDs) installed in social hall & gym
