Extracurricular Activities

Saint Elizabeth hosts many extracurricular and after school activities for our students. Our activities cover a wide range of interests including Math, Science, Art, Technology, Robotics, Music and Athletics. We offer such activities as the Knight School Chess Club, Reading Olympics, Odyssey of the Mind, Future Cities, Science Explorers (Grades K-4), 24 Club, LEGO Robotics, Harmonium Chorus (Grades 6-8), Band, the School Musical, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and more!

Harmonium is an upper level chorus consisting of sixth, seventh and eighth graders. Anyone can join – there is no audition, except for voice placement (low-medium-high voice). Harmonium meets once a week, at 12:05 PM.

Harmonium prepares for a December concert and a May concert, as well as musically supporting special school Liturgies during the year.

The experience of being in Harmonium develops a student’s self-confidence, whether it be just doing something in front of people, to being able to handle a solo during a song or Mass.  Everyone has a different comfort level to begin with.  And they can springboard from there, to try new types of performance and creativity in designing a performance.

Members of Harmonium have even formed small bands which accompany the songs at Mass, or perform in our shows. They have the opportunity to spread their musical wings and compose an arrangement of a song for us to possibly perform! They also support the chorus playing other percussion instruments, from tambourines to tone-chimes. There’s something for everyone in Harmonium!
