Weekly Snapshot #35 - Week of May 4, 2026

Week of May 4, 2026

There are only 6 Mondays until the end of the school year!  We are getting closer to the finish line.   Keep trying to wrap up those priority topics as we await word on what the new assessments will be like. Here is a link to the Archdiocesan Curriculum for your reference: AoP Curriculum Guidelines. There will be a special schedule on Thursday for May Procession rehearsal and on Friday for our May Liturgy & Crowning of Mary.  We will celebrate our teachers and aides on Wednesday, May 6, 2026.  You do not need to pack lunch that day.  If you have not done so, please let Kathleen Brady know if you will be attending our Italian Garden Party.  It is going to be a beautiful event for our school!

The third trimester will be over before you know it. Remember that you need FIVE grades for each subject by the end of the trimester. They should not be all tests. A variety of assessments should be used - classwork, projects, quizzes, tests, etc. I will be checking Option C this week to check progress.  Please devote time during prep periods to getting grades uploaded to Option C each week.  Sending test folders home is not sufficient.  The grades must be posted to Option C as well. You should have at least two assessments in the books by the end of this week. They do not need to be tests.

Please be sure that students have their golf shirts tucked into their skirts, pants, or shorts. Some of them are wandering the halls looking a bit hoboesque. I will begin announcing every day in the morning.

Please be sure to pull your blinds ALL the way down when you leave each day and be sure that they are closed. We appreciate your help with this.

Virtue for the Months of May & June: Zeal

All teachers are teachers of the faith in our school, so all teachers may send to the office at any time throughout the month names of students who are modeling the virtue of zeal. Be on the lookout for those students who are enthusiastic in lessons and kind to classmates.
