Weekly Snapshot #12 - Week of November 10, 2025
St. Elizabeth School Weekly Snapshot
Week of November 10, 2025
One week of November is officially in the books! We have just 12 school days between us and a well-deserved Thanksgiving Break! Please be mindful that there are 17 teaching days left in this trimester. Our first trimester ends on Friday, December 5, 2025. You will need to have five grades for each subject area. Use these weeks of relative calm to make some progress.
Please continue to place items for the Thanksgiving Food Collection outside of your classrooms as they come in, and we will pick them up around lunch time each day. Frozen turkeys will be collected in morning drop-off and throughout the school day on November 20 and 21, 2025.
Please note that Sister Hannah will be traveling on a pilgrimage to Italy from November 9 through November 21, 2025. You will have your class for the regular Religion classes on these days. We hope that Sister Hannah will have a wonderful and safe trip.
Please remember that your websites should always be up-to-date. If you are having a tough time finding time for this, perhaps consider dedicating part of one prep period each week to this effort. If you have copies that need to be made during those preps and that is what is taking time away, Teri and I are always happy to help with that project so that you can do more important work on your prep periods. All you need to do is ask and give us directions.
We will do our Safe Environment Kid Talk lessons during the week of November 16, 2025. You will receive these lessons in a separate email. An Opt-Out Form will be sent with the communication to parents on Thursday. If you get any of these forms back from parents, please send them to the office so that we can make arrangements with you. Parents only return these forms if they do NOT want their children to be present for these lessons. The lessons will be shared with all parents next week as well. Please complete the attached Google Form for when you will deliver your lesson.
We will have a Faculty Meeting on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at 3:15 PM in the St. John the Baptist Room. Annabel Dotzman from AoP Tech will be giving a presentation at this meeting. If you have any issues that we need to discuss, please complete the attached agenda form by Tuesday. We will only address those items at this next meeting so that we can maximize our time with Annabel. I will share all other pertinent information in weekly update emails.
Thank you to Dr. Carnuccio for organizing our Book Fair this week. We hope that the children enjoy the materials available for purchase this week! Thank you to all who are giving their time to come to our Open House on Sunday! I appreciate you.
Words of Wisdom for the Week
“The secret of happiness is to live moment by moment and to thank God for what He is sending us every day in His goodness.” – St. Gianna Beretta Molla.
Virtue for the Month of November: Stewardship
All teachers are teachers of the faith in our school, so all teachers may send to the office at any time throughout the month names of students who are modeling the virtue of stewardship. Be on the lookout for those students who give their time and talent to others freely. Who is always willing to pitch in and help others?
