We did it! Another Friday has arrived. There are not many Mondays left until the end of the school year, which is always a sign of hope. As we travel through the year, please be sure that you are addressing the priority topics for each trimester. Here is a link to the Archdiocesan Curriculum for your reference: AoP Curriculum Guidelines.
Our second trimester will end on March 13, 2026. You will need to have FIVE grades per subject area. They do not all need to be tests or quizzes. There should be a variety of assessments. I reached out to each teacher individually earlier this week. I will be checking again on Monday. Please remember that no child can fail a subject for the trimester if you have not communicated that possibility to the parents in writing prior to the trimester closing. If you are emailing this to a parent, then I should be included via Cc or Bcc. All grades must be finalized by 11:59 PM on Wednesday, March 18, 2026. Report cards will go home on March 20, 2026.
Act 48 credits will be available for our professional development on Monday, March 16, 2026. The registration link was sent separately, but here it is in case you need it: Act 48 Registration. More information will be available at our March Faculty Meeting on Wednesday
Please remember that iPads and Chromebooks should ONLY be used for educational purposes when children are fully supervised. They are NOT permitted to be used during homeroom at arrival or dismissal, at morning recess, or at lunch recess. I know that it is easy to just give the children a device to play on when we have things to get done and need a minute in those down times, but there are a plethora of other options. They get enough screen exposure and stimulation.
Save the Date - Our Variety Show will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026 in the Gym. More details will be provided as we get closer to the date. We would love to have some extra help if you are able to assist with practices, auditions, or the show itself. Variety Show Help
Statement of Intention responses are due to the office by Friday, March 6, 2026. You can place them in my mailbox in the office or leave them on my desk. I am attaching a copy to the weekly email in case you have lost yours.
AoP Tech will be holding a virtual Connected Educators series throughout the spring. The topic this time is Canva for Educators. You can register here: Connected Educators Registration. The deadline to register for Act 48 is March 22, 2026. You must attend three of the four sessions and complete the survey in order to get the Act 48 credits.

Virtue for the Month of March: Mercy
All teachers are teachers of the faith in our school, so all teachers may send to the office at any time throughout the month names of students who are modeling the virtue of mercy. Be on the lookout for those students who show genuine care for others or those who are generally kind and forgiving.
