Weekly Snapshot #29 - Week of March 23, 202
Week of March 23, 2026
Spring is in the air! We are getting there little by little and day by day. Due to Terra Nova, no formal plans are needed for next week. A survival outline is sufficient. I know some of you cannot survive without a formal plan. I totally get it, so do what you need to do to make your heart happy and your mind peaceful! Here is a link to the Archdiocesan Curriculum for your reference: AoP Curriculum Guidelines.
The third trimester will be over before you know it. Remember that you need FIVE grades for each subject by the end of the trimester. They should not be all tests. A variety of assessments should be used - classwork, projects, quizzes, tests, etc. I will be checking Option C frequently this trimester to be sure that grades are being posted regularly. Please devote time during prep periods to getting grades uploaded to Option C each week. Sending test folders home is not sufficient. The grades must be posted to Option C as well. Please remember that no child can fail a subject for the trimester if you have not communicated that possibility to the parents in writing prior to the trimester closing. If you are emailing this to a parent, then I should be included via Cc or Bcc.
Please be sure to check the schedules for each day. The Terra Nova testing schedule changes daily. There will be a special schedule for Thursday and Friday as well as we wind down toward Living Stations. I appreciate all of the hard work that Maria, Louise, and the children have been putting in during Lent. I also appreciate all of the flexibility and grace from everyone else because having different schedules every week is a pain in the neck.
Terra Nova make-up will continue through next week. All testing must be completed by next Friday afternoon. I apologize in advance for pulling children during instruction. We are getting closer to being finished with this for the year.
Words of Wisdom for the Week
“Have patience with all things, but chiefly have patience with yourself.” - St. Francis de Sales
Virtue for the Month of March: Mercy
All teachers are teachers of the faith in our school, so all teachers may send to the office at any time throughout the month names of students who are modeling the virtue of mercy. Be on the lookout for those students who show genuine care for others or those who are generally kind and forgiving. The April virtue will be zeal.
