Weekly Snapshot #25 - Week of February 23, 2026
Week of February 23, 2026
That may have been the longest short week in history, but we made it. Thank you for dealing with constant schedule changes, interruptions, and me. I know it is not easy, but you make a difficult job a lot less difficult. It is a still great time to hit those priority topics. Here is the link to the Archdiocesan Curriculum for your reference: AoP Curriculum Guidelines. I am still waiting on the response to the invitation I extended to OCE. I will keep you posted.
We may be here on Monday. We may not be. There may be a foot of snow. There may not be. IF we are here, we will proceed with Monochromatic Monday. This is a dress down that the student council asked for at the start of the year. It was their idea to use it as a fundraiser for Operation Rice Bowl. That makes me exceptionally proud of the work we are doing with these children. They know what is important. Here are the colors. It was communicated to parents, and a reminder is set to go out on Sunday morning. As you know, people do not always read. For all I know, you may have already stopped reading yourself. We shall see what happens.
Pre-KA & Pre-KB - GREEN KA - ORANGE Grade 1 - YELLOW Grade 2A & 2B - PURPLE
Grade 3 - PINK Grade 4 - WHITE Grade 5 - GREY Grade 6 - BLUE Grade 7 - RED
Grade 8 - BLACK
Please remember that iPads and Chromebooks should ONLY be used for educational purposes when children are fully supervised. They are NOT permitted to be used during homeroom at arrival or dismissal, at morning recess, or at lunch recess. I know that it is easy to just give the children a device to play on when we have things to get done and need a minute in those down times, but there are a plethora of other options. They get enough screen exposure and stimulation.
Save the Date - Our Variety Show will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026 in the Gym. More details will be provided as we get closer to the date. We would love to have some extra help if you are able to assist with practices, auditions, or the show itself. Variety Show Help
Statement of Intention responses are due to the office by March 6, 2026. You can place them in my mailbox in the office or leave them on my desk. If you misplace your paper, Teri has a few extra.
Words of Wisdom for the Week
“Lent is a time of grace, a time for conversion, a time to come home to God.” - St. Maximilian Kolbe
Virtue for the Month of February: Honesty
All teachers are teachers of the faith in our school, so all teachers may send to the office at any time throughout the month names of students who are modeling the virtue of honesty. Be on the lookout for those students who tell the truth even when it is difficult or are just generally trustworthy. This one may be a challenge, but it is a short month. Our March virtue will be Mercy.
