Week of November 9, 2026
We are only 12 school days away from a break. We’ve got this! In this month of giving thanks, I am grateful for each of you for pouring your hearts and souls into all that you do. Please remember that we are individuals who are limited. We are not perfect. We are doing the best we can every day and that version of what is best will look different every day. At the end of every day, give it to God and go to sleep knowing that you did your best with what you had that day. If you were feeling less than 100% but gave all that you could, that is good enough. Give yourself a break this weekend!
Open House will take place this Sunday after the 9:30 Mass. It will conclude at 12:00 PM. You are required to attend either November or January. You need not be present for both though we will never kick you out if you show up.
Thank you for completing your Kid Talk Lesson! If you did not teach the lesson, please do it on Monday or Tuesday. If you did not tell me the date of your lesson, please email me that information as I have a report that corresponds to that. Thank you to Mary Ellen for preparing our Scholastic Book Fair! Don’t forget to take a stroll through and put some books aside for your classroom wish list.
Since I forgot again, our next drill will be an unannounced External Lockdown Drill. We will do that this week (before Wednesday) and early in the day (before 10:00). Please be sure that your doors are locked at all times so that you simply need to move the magnet strip.
We will have a Faculty Meeting on Wednesday, November 18, 2026 @ 3:15 PM in the St. John the Baptist Room. We will not have a December Faculty Meeting. Please plan to attend so we can run through everything remaining in November and on the horizon in December.
Words of Wisdom for the Week
“Jesus does not demand great action from us but simply surrender and gratitude.” - St. Therese of Lisieux
Virtue for the Month of November: Courtesy
Our theme this year is “Let us love one another for love comes from God.” This ties in with the Archdiocesan dedication to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Our virtue for this month is courtesy. Do you see anyone going out of their way to hold doors or being polite? It is our hope that the students will recognize those who shine the light of virtue as they strive to be witnesses of God’s love. Any teacher or staff member may nominate any student for our virtue wall of fame in the main lobby. Here is the Virtues program: Virtues Program.
