Weekly Snapshot #16 - Week of December 8, 2025

Week of December 8, 2025

Well, that was a wild one!  We made it - not without some bumps and bruises - but we made it!  Enjoy your extra day of rest this week and get ready for a week that may have us nostalgic for this one. Remember - this is a fun time of year to be a child.  We hate all the disruptions.  I am planning them and hating them, but the children do enjoy it.  The next nine days will hopefully fly by in a blink.

Our first trimester ends TODAY.  You will need to have five grades for each subject area.  No grade below 60 may be recorded in Option C.  Please note that anything marked as X on M in the gradebook counts as a zero.  Those Xs and Ms will need to be entered as 60s if they are still missing at the end of the trimester.  All grades must be finalized in Option C by Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at 5:00 PM so that I have time to check and Teri has time to print.

I am working on Wednesday’s detailed schedule for “Minute to Win It.”  The actual schedule is included in this week’s email.  I am also working on teams for the games.  You will have that as soon as I finish.

Our St. E’s Twelve Days of Christmas continues.  Participation is optional.  Please see email for details of daily events. If you are feeling like this is overwhelming and you need one less thing to worry about - take it off your list.  We will not think you are a Grinch.

I am attaching our December Survival Guide - Finding JOY in the Chaos just in case you need it.  I hope it helps to know when the bad teaching days are happening.

To help you get through these crazy days, I just wanted to mention that the Hallow app is available to you free of charge.  There are countless prayer resources on there to uplift, inspire, and calm us.  I highly recommend it! Here are the instructions:

  1. Go to Hallow.com/redeem on your web browser. If you have an existing premium subscription, cancel that before this step.

  2. Use code SaintElizabethParishPAGP2527free

  3. Follow the instructions to create an account or sign in.

  4. Download the Hallow app and sign in.

  5. Go to the "community tab". If you have not already, join the parish page.

  6. Start praying!

Words of Wisdom for the Week

"Do not lose your inner peace for anything whatsoever, not even if your whole world seems upset. If you find that you have wandered away from the shelter of God, lead your heart back to Him quietly and simply." -St. Francis de Sales

Virtue for the Month of December: Generosity

All teachers are teachers of the faith in our school, so all teachers may send to the office at any time throughout the month names of students who are modeling the virtue of stewardship.  Be on the lookout for those students who give from the heart without expecting anything in return.
