Weekly Snapshot #14 - Week of November 24, 2025

  St. Elizabeth School Weekly Snapshot

Week of November 24, 2025

We have almost made it to our first break of the year!  You have done a wonderful job of teaching and engaging our students in their classes since the start of our year. I am grateful for the time and talents that each of you shares with our students every day.  Enjoy the time off and get some rest.  You deserve it!

We have just FIVE teaching days left in this trimester, and only 14 school days until Christmas!  Our first trimester ends on Friday, December 5, 2025.  You will need to have five grades for each subject area.  No grade below 60 may be recorded in Option C.  Please note that anything marked as X on M in the gradebook counts as a zero.  Those Xs and Ms will need to be entered as 60s if they are still missing at the end of the trimester.

Thank you for your support of our Thanksgiving Food Collection!  Giving to those in need is part of who we are, and it brings so much joy to give to others.  I appreciate all of you!  We are planning our Blue Christmas celebration on December 10, 2025.  If anyone is available for a quick (30 minute) meeting after school on Monday to help brainstorm ideas, please come to the office.  We will have an informal idea session.

Our St. E’s Twelve Days of Christmas will be returning on December 3, 2025.  Details will be in the next Snapshot, but start dusting off those ugly sweaters over the break!  Advent begins on November 30, 2025.  Please be sure to get your Advent wreath ready to go upon our return.

Please remember that your websites should always be up-to-date.  If you are having a tough time finding time for this, perhaps consider dedicating part of one prep period each week to this effort.  If you have copies that need to be made during those preps and that is what is taking time away, Teri and I are always happy to help with that project so that you can do more important work on your prep periods.  All you need to do is ask and give us directions.

Words of Wisdom for the Week

“Jesus does not demand great action from us but simply surrender and gratitude.” - St. Therèse of Lisieux

Virtue for the Month of November: Stewardship

All teachers are teachers of the faith in our school, so all teachers may send to the office at any time throughout the month names of students who are modeling the virtue of stewardship.  Be on the lookout for those students who give their time and talent to others freely.  Who is always willing to pitch in and help others? The virtue for December is Generosity.
