Weekly Snapshot #32 - Week of April 13, 2026
Week of April 13, 2026
There are only 9 Mondays until the end of the school year! We are getting closer to the finish line. Lesson plans will return this week as we buckle down and get back to business as usual. Now is the time to wrap up those priority topics. Here is a link to the Archdiocesan Curriculum for your reference: AoP Curriculum Guidelines. There are NO dress down days for students this week, but there are two special schedules due to Mass and rehearsal for Mass.
The third trimester will be over before you know it. Remember that you need FIVE grades for each subject by the end of the trimester. They should not be all tests. A variety of assessments should be used - classwork, projects, quizzes, tests, etc. I will be checking Option C frequently this week to be sure that grades are being posted regularly. Please devote time during prep periods to getting grades uploaded to Option C each week. Sending test folders home is not sufficient. The grades must be posted to Option C as well. You should have at least one assessment in the books by the end of this week. It does not need to be a test.
Please be sure that students have their golf shirts tucked into their skirts, pants, or shorts. Some of them are wandering the halls looking a bit hoboesque. I will begin announcing every day in the morning.
Kid Talk Lessons must be delivered this week. Please fill out this form for your lesson information. Kid Talk April Lesson. Please send any Out Forms to the office. Here is a link to the Kid Talk Curriculum .Kid Talk Curriculum
Please be sure to pull your blinds ALL the way down when you leave each day and be sure that they are closed. We appreciate your help with this.
The Kroboth family will be providing lunch for teachers and staff on Thursday, April 16, 2026 as a thank you for all that our teachers and staff have done for Vincent. Please stop by the Faculty Room at lunch.
Our faculty meeting will be on Wednesday this week. I will try to keep it brief to be respectful of your time. We will also have a general parent meeting on Tuesday evening at 6:00 PM. Sister Pat is an entertaining and informative speaker. If you have not seen her, I highly recommend coming out on Tuesday evening. There is a dance on Friday evening for students in Grades 4 through 8 from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. All are welcome to stop in to see the fun at the Beach Party.
Louise will be accompanying students to the Robotics & Coding Competition on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at Cardinal O’Hara High School. She will be leaving at 1:00 on Thursday. All of her classes that would be impacted have been moved. Please consult this attached schedule f-or your time and day of you have a music or technology prep. Music & Tech Schedule
Words of Wisdom for the Week
"Do not abandon yourselves to despair. We are the Easter people and hallelujah is our song". — Pope St. John Paul II
Virtue for the Month of April: Justice
All teachers are teachers of the faith in our school, so all teachers may send to the office at any time throughout the month names of students who are modeling the virtue of justice. Be on the lookout for those students who are fair to their classmates and friends. The virtue for May & June is Zeal.
