Keep Up with Unit Vocabulary as we go along!
Monday-
Note: This is not Due Until Wednesday:
Create a slide show entitled “[Your name]’s Rock Collection”
ex. “Ms. Fraser’s Rock Collection”
Then research online to find 2 of each of the 3 types of rock (igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary)
Then create a slide for each rock you chose that includes the following:
Name of the rock and images
type of rock
where it can be found
age of the rock
uses for the rock
THIS MEANS YOU WILL HAVE A TOTAL OF 6 DIFFERENT ROCK SLIDES
Add a final slide that lists the websites you used as your source

**Students can be prepared for class by bringing the following:
Your textbook, handouts and packets
Your notebook or loose-leaf for notetaking to be filed in binder
Your folder(s)
Pen, pencil, red pen, 3 different colored highlighters, ruler, calculator
**How to prepare for Science Unit Tests:
Memorize the Unit Vocabulary (use the vocabulary key)
Study handouts (ex. 5th Gr: Scientific Method, Photosynthesis)
Study the highlighted and starred sections in the Lessons
Review and Study each end of Lesson review. (For 5th grade :Lesson Check and Lesson Round-Up)
Review and Study the Unit Review
Remember many of the questions will be critical thinking problems that apply the concepts we learned to real world examples.
