CLASS OF 2015: October 6, 2017--Saint Elizabeth was well represented, as almost half of the class of 2015 that currently attends Bishop Shanahan High School was inducted into their Monsignor Schuyler Chapter of the National Honor Society. Eleven of the 62 new inductees from the BSHS class of 2019 were Saint Elizabeth graduates.

The group includes: Justin Amrein, Riley Brady, Robert Duncheskie, Kevin Gatti, Jessica Holowsko, Brian Ibarguen, Brittany Jones, Keenan Kirk, James Kolimago, Mira Messere, and Sophia Swiatek.

In addition, Michael Gingrich from Saint Elizabeth's Class of 2014 was inducted as a senior.

Recipients earn this honor by meeting four criteria: Character, scholarship, leadership, and service. Students were nominated based on scholarship, but had to submit a resume showing evidence and documentation of the other three areas in order to be accepted.

Congratulations to all!

From The Spirit Newsletter, Spring 2019:

School Spirits: Building An Alumni Association

Did you know that with this year’s graduating class of 40 girls and boys, we now have a total of 340 graduates of Saint Elizabeth Parish School in 11 classes (2009-2019)? On Wednesday, June 12, 23 girls and 17 boys are receiving their diplomas at the eleventh Graduation Mass and Commencement Ceremony.

Members of the first graduation class in June of 2009 are now 24-year-olds, most of them busy in the working world and/or extending their education in graduate school, while the 35 members of the class of 2015 are preparing to graduate from high school this month. The largest class to date (2017) included 42 graduates, while the smallest graduation class (2011) included only 10—all boys!

Among the alumni include one set of triplets (Keenan, Sean & Thomas Kirk in 2015) and five sets of twins: Colleen & Megan Lyons (2010); Caroline & Owen Brnich (2013); Elizabeth & Jennifer Nealy (2017); Madison & Sean Ullrich (2017); and Julia & Sean Conlon (2018). While more than 20 families have three parish school graduates each, four families (John & Margaret Conlon, Michael & Joan Kelly, Robert & Dina Ogden, and David & Marybeth Schaeffer) can boast of four parish school alumni within their households! The beat goes on toward 2020 in a parish community committed to Catholic education.

A committee of the Parish School Advisory Council (PSAC) is working to develop a formal alumni association to provide a venue for past graduates to keep in touch with the parish school staff and with their former classmates. The PSAC invites all 340 of our graduates to enroll in the newly-forming Saint Elizabeth Parish Alumni Association. To join, log on to www.stelizabethparishschool.org/alumni, fill out the member form and share whatever news you would like. To submit photos or videos along with your news, contact Mrs. Sara Richardson, Communications Coordinator, at srichardson@stelizabethparish.org.
